Every now and then I get that question. I normally tell people how flexible I am and that I would be happy to reschedule their photo session if the weather is bad.
But sometimes you meet up at the location and unexpected storm clouds begin to loom. We look at each other and ask, what happens if it rains?
Hers's the plan: if it starts to rain, we run to our cars and figure it out from there.
Sure enough, five minutes later we find ourselves running to the cars!
We decide to wait it out.
There are always obstacles in life. There are always obstacles in pictures. The question is, what do you do in the face of obstacles? Give up? Go home? Gripe?
If you're a kid, the answer is clear. When the rain stops and your mom opens the car door, you burst out with un-containable energy and head for the nearest tree. No - the tallest tree. And you climb.
I love how kids deal with obstacles. They act as if there really are no obstacles. Whatever it is they just climb it, knock it down, or make it a fort.
What do we do if it rains? Wait it out. Or, go play in it.
